Q: I've paid, how do I get to, and start class?
A: Sign Back in to your class, click on "My Courses and Information" and click on the "Launch" or "Go" button.
Q: How does the court (referring person) know I completed the Under Age Smoking Class ?
A: You are automatically authorized to generate a certificate as soon as you complete the smoking class. At registration, if you enter the email address of the person who referred you, that person will automatically be notified of your smoking class registration and completion status. We will, at your request, notify the referring person (or your attorney) of your smoking class completion status.
Q: Will I get a certificate of completion?
A: Upon successful completion of the smoking class, a completion certificate is unlocked and immediately available to you. Also, and upon request we can mail, fax or email a Completion Certificate to the Court.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Our online class costs $20 for the 1 hour class.
Q: How long does the smoking class take to complete?
A: On average it takes approximately one hour. Depending on how fast you work, your smoking class can take a little longer or a little less. You can start and stop anytime. Upon return the computer will "remember" where you stopped and return you there.
Q: How long do I have to start and finish the smoking class?
A: Usually the person who refers you to Offender Solutions® decides your timeline. We don't impose a timeline on you. We will, however, close your case if there is a significant period of inactivity.
Q: : How many chapters are there?
A: There are a total 8 chapters in the smoking class. Each chapter has an exam at the end before going on to the next chapter. There is also a smoking class final exam to complete.
Q: I only have 1 day left to get my smoking class done, can I finish it that quickly?
A: Yes, pretty easily if you sit down and get it done. It is more up to you and your willingness to commit. You must still meet our standards when it comes to acceptable test answers.
Q: . Does this smoking class meet therequirement for smoking Class?
A: Likely yes. To date no referral sources have declined the use of our smoking class. However you do need to double check with the person who referred you in order to be sure. The good news is that we do offer a money back guarantee.
Q: What if I don't feel I need to stop smoking but I have been told I have to take this smoking class?
A: Good. We anticipated this position about smoking and are very respectful of it. This class was designed with you in mind and no attempt will be made to encourage you to stop smoking. Q: I am not going to be able to complete my smoking class by the deadline that I was given. What do I do?
A: We would encourage you to: 1. Do everything in your power to attempt to complete on time. 2. Contact your referring person (PO, Judge, Peer/Teen Court, School, Etc.) and ask for an extension. In any case, communicating with everyone involved is very important.
Q: I have a yellow triangle preventing me from starting my chapter. What can I do?
A: If you ever get a yellow triangle icon preventing you from opening a chapter, here is what you can do:
. Double click on the yellow triangle
. Wait for the pop up window to open
. Close the pop up window
Go up to "View" on your toolbar and select "Refresh"
(or hit your F5 key to refresh)
Q: My smoking class is stuck, it starts to open (or close) but isn't opening, the message just says "Wait! Do not close window" What am I suppose to do?
A1: Look to the top of your screen and determine if you have a pop-up blocker message (often a yellow bar in your browser window). Click on the pop-up blocker and in the drop down select "Always allow ..."
A2: If you haven't tuned your computer up recently you could get "stuck" opening a chapter or closing a chapter. The problem is typically easily resolved by cleaning out your "cookies" and or "Temporary Internet Files".
To clean these files out (assuming you are in Internet Explorer) go to the top of Internet Explorer and:
- * Select " Tools " on your toolbar.
- * Then, in the drop down select " Internet Options " at the bottom of the pop up window.
- * Under the "General" Tab, click the word " Delete located in the middle of the window.
- * A new window should have popped up. Put a checkbox by "Temporary Internet Files", "Cookies" and "History". * * Unless you know what you are doing I suggest you uncheck the other options.
- * At the bottom of this window click " Delete " and wait for the files to be deleted.
- * Click "OK" to close the window.
- * Close Internet Explorer and re-open it.
Your class should work fine now.
Q: What are you going to try to do to me in your smoking class?
